Svante Myrick represents the fourth ward - the City of Ithaca’s East Hill. The most diverse and densely populated ward in the city, its residents reside in the Collegetown commercial district, Cornell’s West Campus residences, and the beautiful and historic neighborhoods of East Hill.

Svante has a sincere passion for public service. He credits his upbringing in the church for teaching him to love his neighbor, his roots in a small upstate NY town for teaching him the importance of community, and his experience with poverty and homelessness as a child for teaching him the importance of compassion.
